Yes, Virginia, there is some hope for the next generation of young Americans.
Above is a screen capture from the George W. Bush Facebook page. They announced the video contest winner on Saturday. His name is Wyatt Smith. He's a 22 year old college graduate who is civic-minded, articulate and, thanks to a university fellowship, already well-traveled. Wyatt plans to begin teaching in a high-poverty area next summer.
Here's Wyatt's video.
Seeing his video, I can hardly believe he is just 22 years old. I'm looking forward to seeing Wyatt's interview of President Bush.
I pre-ordered the book Decision Points by George W Bush as soon as the release date was announced. It should be in my mailbox on/or about the day of its release, Tuesday, November 9, 2010. I can't wait to read it.
Since I believe this is a book that should be shared rather than just sit on a shelf in my bookcase, I'll be passing it along to one of you. Just say you'd like to read it in the comments. I'll choose the recipient using a random generator.
Go out and put some YAY! in your day! I know I will! Big Hugs ♥xo

Have a great day, Barb!
oooh, count me in... I'd love to read that book. I've been waiting for it.
Go out and make it as great day!!
Wyatt is indeed an impressive young man. He seems much older than my "almost" 22-year old Allegra.
I wonder if he is available?
bwahahahaha
Have a good day, Barb.
Count me in, too! I would love to read that book.

Wow, this young man is indeed impressive. Can't wait to hear this interview.
Count me in Barb. I would love to read the Presidents book.
Have a terrific day. Big hug and lotsa lovies and scritches to all the babies. :)
Count me too Barbara.
I would love to read the President's boo. I am anxiously awaiting to see how the "MSM" treats him on his rounds of interviews.
I would enjoy reading the book!
I do need some Yay for my day! I might want to read Wyatt's book more than Bush's. I'm just a little tired of politics right now, so soon after an election.
Happy reading!
I am looking forward to seeing his interview with Oprah tomorrow. I read his wife's autobiography and found it fascinating. I can't say I agree with him politically, but he's a very interesting, multifaceted person.
Oooo...I would love to read it. Count me in.
Count our Mom in too please!
