Don't worry! Be happy!

Why I love Whitey #497:

Whitey loves napping on the patio

Why I love Whitey #498 is on the DailyGs today. Prepare yourselves.

I have a graphic on my business web site that says "Give us a Call! We promise someone nice will answer the phone!" And I try never to disappoint. Yesterday I had one of my typical, happy customers call to order. He tells me every time he calls what excellent service I provide. He happily spends his money with me. I love that in a customer!

Compare Mr. PoliteHappyNice to this one untypical, crude and rude dude from the day before. I was returning the owner's call and had the misfortune to call when Mr. CrudeRudeDude answered the phone. In less than 15 seconds, and me saying less than 7 words, he started cussing. He didn't even know who I was or why I was calling. I could have been one of HIS customers, for all he knew. I hope Mr. CrudeRudeDude isn't in charge of Customer Service, because if he is... he needs to work on his People Skills.

Me? I made a conscious decision many years ago never to be involved in any sort of conversation like that. I don't even bother to reply; it's completely wasted on them and a waste of my time. I quite quietly and simply hung up.

And that was the end of that.

I think it must zap so much energy out of a person to be that nasty and miserable all of the time. Life's too short! If you have a choice, and you certainly DO, be happy!

Go out and put some YAY! in your day! I know I will! Big Hugs ♥xo

Yes, be happy. My motto too. Have a lovely day, Barb. And Whitey's yawn makes me want to yawn too.

Good for you for hanging up the phone...and then you get to snuggle Whitey. How cool is that?

Love the photo of Whitey and his yawn. ;-)

I don't blame you for hanging up.

I posted a pic of Linus today. come see when you get a chance.

It is so different when Mr RudeCrude is the customer that calls you! I hated that part of customer service. Unfortunately, I usually got them because the other agents could not handle them!

You are right, Barb. It takes too much out of a person to be like Mr. CrudeRudeDude. I suppose his rudeness and crudeness is about all to like he has anymore.

That's the problem with our world not in my estimation. Too much hate. The hippies had it right.

Oh, and Whitey isn't rude, just comfortable around you.

Wow, that's one major yawn. Way to go Whitey. I'm impressed.

I wish I could have done that when I was still working. Couldn't. It would have been complaint city if I had. Oh well, at least you can quietly hang up. Good for you.

Have a terrific day. Big hug and lotsa lovies and scritches to all the babies. :)

Yes life is too short to put up with such behavior.

since retiring I refuse to be involved in arguments or deal with difficult people. You want to argue? Go find someone else.

I feel so encouraged by this post! Right down to the decision to NOT be subjected to another person's negativity.

YAY in my day - LOVE IT!

I was trained to be polite through anything when I had my first job as a Domino's Pizza employee. I delivered pizzas mostly, and I learned how to smile and count out change even when someone was berating me for taking too long to get the pizza to them.

I also learned to wait out a nasty customer on the phone. But I admit...there were times when the phone got "accidentally" disconnected on a rude customer.
