In different ways
Waiting and counting
Two hundred plus days
So many questions
About what to do
Having a child
Was something new
When my daughter was born
I knew from the start
This bundle of joy
Had captured my heart
The cut of the umbilical cord
Left our bodies free
To be bound by a love
Lasting to eternity
Nothing else equals
On this planet earth
The miracle from heaven
Of a mother giving birth
