0%? Seriously? Well, no wonder. I sound about as much fun as a rock.
I finally discovered a Wine Group here in The Deep South, GA! One of the things I've missed most about moving from central Florida is my Wine Group and my Wine Guy who knew exactly what I like in wines. We had monthly wine tastings and Wine Pairing dinners at 4 and 5 Star restaurants. I got to meet lots of different people, discover some great wines and taste some of the most delicious food prepared by some fabulous chefs. I never knew who would be seated at my table and the conversation was always varied and interesting. I feel like I have been in a vacuum for the past 3 years.
I had just about given up all hope of ever going to a wine tasting again. A few weeks ago I was at the wine store and asked yet again if anyone had heard any news or rumors about a wine tasting group. One man stepped forward and said "Yes. I just started one." Happy Dance! There's a tasting on the 24th! SisterDear2 and BIL will be down visiting that week and they are looking forward to going, too!
Next month there is a Wine Pairing dinner at a very nice Italian restaurant downtown that I've been wanting to try, but nobody else wants to go to, so I am very pleased about this! Yay! Things are looking up here in The Deep South, GA, or as some others say, in The Buckle of the Bible Belt.

I have never heard of anything like that, but my husband and I are always out discovering new places to eat, and while not wine connoisseurs... we do like the odd drop.
