Sky Watch Friday: Ten Minutes

I am always amazed how quickly the sky changes. These 2 photos were both taken on the same morning from my patio.

05:44 AM - Facing North

05:54 AM - Facing East

Isn't that just incredible?

I'm off on my weekly trip around the sun!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead!

Join us Sky Watchers and The Sky Watch Team Tom, Sandy, Klaus & Imac as we all do some sky watching! Sky Watch Friday starts each week on Thursday evenings at 07:30 PM, GMT (that's 2:30 pm, EST for us in the US).

I'm with you about the changes in the sky. It never fails to amaze me. Those shots show two of the wonderful ends of the spectrum and amazing that you got it all in one morning. I hope you have a great weekend.

It is definitely beautiful, and only ten minutes apart, amazing.

That is amazing. I did some sunrise pics a couple weeks ago and looked one direction then another with different colors. So beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

My mom says, "Gorgeous photos! But what the Sam Hill were you doing up at 5:44 freaking A of the M? It's, like, against the rools!" When she's not expostulating on the inevitability of the sunrise and the fact that she MUST get up to feed a certain SOMEONE, she's also saying,"Very sorry I missed the Tuesday Story Writing. I seem to have lost the specific sulcus of my brain that pertains to Tuesdays. My worst fear is that that particular region lies right next to the region that chooses to drink a glass (or six) of wine the evening prior. " Oh, and she wants you to know she's kidding about the "or six"...or not.

I should have stated that the first is facing North and the second is facing East!

That's a very interesting study in sunrise. What gorgeous results and they are so different. We're moving fast - really fast. 67,062 miles per hour to be exact...

Beautiful photos, the second one looks more like sunset than sunrise.

Somedays I come here and for whatever reason I don't get a comment box.
So glad it came up today. These are absolutely beautiful!
Now I must see if I can comment on some of your past posts that I loved. :)

Hey Barb, do great minds run together? I like your changing scene, it looks like it will be a nice day with a little rain possible. Well?
Thank you for peeking in at my (LONG!) sunrise unfolding scene in Texas. I think it must be the same one you have in Georgia.
..
BTW, Boo, Hiss, on VSU. At our colleges certain shots are needed, now insurance is required. It might be required to live in the dorm, I don't know about that part.

The sky sure is fickle! She makes a virtue of fickleness, though!

It's the change that is fascinating - capturing itis the difficulty.

Yes, I am continually astonished at the speed with which things in the sky change. I like both of your images. Maybe the ever so subtle pink one gets the nod.

Ellyn said...

Great capture. I love the first one. Nothing better than a pink sky.

I like both of your photos:) But if I have to choice on I will say that the last on will be my favorite:)

It's often totally different here too. Sometimes rain one side of the house and sun the other!

You have a wonderful weekend too sweetie. Big hug. :)

Wow … that IS spectacular. Both are gorgeous photographs. I know what you mean … it IS fascinating to watch the sky change dramatically in a matter of minutes. I’ve played at Sacred Ruminations again this week.
Hugs and blessings,

It is amazing. I would have never thought those were taken the same morning. Very pretty!

I get the same results, although not as pretty as yours.

Have a great SWF.

Those are some gorgeous pictures and you're right, the sky changes very quickly sometimes. I was standing at the window at work the other day watching cloud formations transform before my very eyes.

I may have to start giving SkyWatch Fridays a go if I can get my act together with everything else as the pictures are always gorgeous!

(Okay... I'm going to get everything right this time, haha.)

Two gloriously beautiful, yet vastly different photos. The first one is so soft, and colored in pastels. The second striking in its gold. Wow, fantastic!!
