Welcome to another Sky Watch Friday! This was taken on my way home from work tonight through my windshield, just before I turned into my subdivision.
The second was taken a quarter mile later in my driveway as the first drops fell and lightning flashed all around.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead!
Join us Sky Watchers and The Sky Watch Team Tom, Sandy, Klaus & Imac as we all do some sky watching! Sky Watch Friday starts each week on Thursday evenings at 07:30 PM, GMT (that's 2:30 pm, EST for us in the US).

Oh, that second shot is great! Glad you beat the storm.
Egads, that's some pretty wicked storm clouds hanging over you! Sheesh, I'm glad you made in safe and sound! I love that road and the line perspective... that's cool!
Great photography!
Love the colors in your pictures. The second shot are awesome! Nice job.
The clouds are amazing. Looks like a storm is about to let loose! Beautiful though! I wish we had a few rain clouds right about now!!
We have a similar post, but your sky is definitely much darker. Good thing the race was a tie!
My SWF photos are posted in these blogs:
Jenn Was Here and Shutter Happy Moments.
Please drop by if you have some time. Thanks.
Racing storms are we now? Glad, that you didn't loose! ;) The last sky didn't look like it would understand fun!
Good take on SWF!
Cheers, Klaus
Nice pictures. Looks like it was a race against the time to get home dry.
My SWF is over here. Hope you enjoy the views from my part of the world!
I love those stormy skies! Glad you made it safely inside before the rain came down! Nice Sky Watch.
Love stormy skies like these, so much drama.
Just got home from MILs dinner. Had to stop by for gas and waited in the gas station for the storm to pass. It was fearce! Hail came, too. Did not have a camera on me though, but it looked dark just like on your pic.
Have a wonderful weekend!
LOL...I'm SO Jealous!!! Beautiful!!
seems there are storms eveywhere. we are suppose to continue them through the weekend.
I'm just watching a storm roll away. A glass of wine seems just the thing! I think I'll take your suggestion! BTW, nice photos here.
Ooh! I hate storms. We had one a few nights ago. Lovely sky shots though ;O)

Looks like it's going to rain! Beautiful and happy SW!
Dark clouds you've got there. It's going to be really cold here this weekend.
Terrific storm pics! There is quite a drama happening here!
Thanks for the visit to my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I'm behind visiting my T-13 and Thursday visitors and trying to catch up this morning.
Love the sky watch photos. And loved your Thursday list of things that 'bug you'....brain farts? Now come on....you're telling me this isn't natural for us? I have 'em ALL the time. I can be in the living room, go to the kitchen for something and forget what the heck it was I was after.
Very pretty looking sky...Happy SWF!
We had a nasty storm here last night. We had lightning and thunder for a couple of hours plus almost two inches of rain.
Great pics
I love the wire lines splash at the side of the picture.
Have a good weekend!
Hey Will, these are petty but ominous looking skies! Thank ou.
I have a pre-storm sunrise posted today. I must have been raining all over the world. :-)
..
Whew! made it inside to a nice glass of wine and the computer to blog about the storm - now that's life, Barb! :)
Very cool- I love story telling skywatches! Happy Skywatch Friday!
Lovely ‘captures’ of threatening skies … I’m glad you made it home safely. Mine’s of a recent cloudy sunrise across the street.
Hugs and blessings,
Have a great weekend sweetie. Big hug. :)
These are wonderful Barb! A tie is a victory with a glass of wine in hand!
A nice, stormy sky. The second one is extra exciting!
Nasty sky--I am glad you made it in the house before you got drenched. MB
Beautiful shots, especially that second one. Glad you beat the rain inside. Don't know what made me think of it, but have you ever thought of joining in on my Saturday Wordzzle Challenge? I'll bet you'd be great at it.
Great photos of the sky in action but do think your blog banner is the funniest thing.
Oh Wow Barb, those skies look so dark and mysterious! There is something about them that facinates me. Love the shots. :-)
I am happy you made it home safe and sound and got all snuggled up with your glass of wine. What a great way to relax. :-)
FYI...just want you to know that I am the same Kimmie from oldelavenderprims. Just a new name and look. Hope to see you soon.
Hugs,
