Mo's given us BIG this week, and it's perfect for what I'd planned to post already. I didn't even have to think. See how well that worked out?
I'm a Microsoft kinda gal. Always have been. I live and breathe Microsoft, including Internet Explorer. I've always had the latest versions of Netscape and Firefox because I need to be able to see how my business web site looks in all the different browsers, but I actually use Internet Explorer. I've rarely experienced any problems with it, and I still don't. I've dragged my feet about using Firefox because it's not like IE. It also doesn't smooth the edges of fonts, and little picayune things like that.
Well, I owe Firefox a BIG apology! As many of you are aware, blogger had some BIG oopsies this past Friday, and while some bloggers were locked out, wrongly tagged as spam, I couldn't access many blogs (including my own) that have SiteMeter running. Well, I can't not read my favorite daily blogs, now can I? So I opened Firefox and they loaded just fine! Hmmmm. Of course, it would've been nice if I discovered this before I took SiteMeter off my blogs, but I digress. Then I checked for updates and, guess what? There was one, Version 3.0, which I downloaded. I just LOVE it, BIG time!
Then, as luck would have it, I got an email from EntreCard informing me of their new toolbar for Firefox! It only works with Firefox. So I downloaded and installed that, too. Whoa!! If you haven't got this toolbar yet and you're an EntreCard member, trust me... you SO want this toolbar! It's like being in Warp-drive!
Next thing you know, I'll be buying a Mac!
Hey, Mo - quit all that crazy dreaming and get some sleep, buddy!
Have a BIG old wonderful Monday y'all!

I had been useing firefox's tabbed browsing when I dropped, but I think I love the toolbar more.
I know nothing about this stuff...yet. I was wondering what's been going on with blogger lately though. It seems to be a bit fussy the last week.
PS. Thanks for dropping me a comment! I love your kitties...Grayson reminds me of my Missy that passed. Her fur was just like that. :o)
Firefox has always been a better browser than IE in my opinion owing to its better speed and security. Also, since it's open source, it gets updated more frequently and has lots of wonderful add-ons that make up a wonderful browsing experience. Opera is pretty fast too and I use it as well. Congrats on shifting to Firefox ~ welcome aboard!
Firefox 3 is excellent, I love it. Have you ever tried to explain to a non blogger/computer person what firefox is? Its bloody hard!
I am using the entrecard toolbar right now, I browse through my favourites set to random, it repeats a lot but its still pretty cool.
Wash your mouth out! A Mac! *shudder*
The only thing I'd like to see FF implement is some decent font anti-aliasing like IE.
yep Firefox saved the day that day that is for sure.
i have used firefox for awhile now and love it and of course you know i have a new mac and i adore "her" my little doris. i would never go back now. nope. the mac is tits girlfriend. just have to learn a few new things and you are off and running.

OY! that was one BIG revelation! LOL!
Happy Manic Monday. You still painting?
I have no clue what everyone was talking about when they said they couldn't access stuff......I use Firefox on my laptop and I just recently bought an Apple desk top...and love it!
Peace
I swap and change around IE and Firefox. Some blogs I have difficulty accessing with one but not the other, and vice versa.
Fits in nicely with my view that diversity is always the right way.
Barb, I've been a Firefox devotee for a long while now - gave up IE a long time ago. I'll try the Entrcard Toolbar now that you say it's good... Happy MM! :)
Oh I forgot, but don't go Mac...stay with the PC. ...just sayin' :)
I'm exactly the opposite. I use Firefox for everything, then bring it up in IE and Safari to see how it looks.
Like you, though, I've never had any problems when I was using IE. I just found Firefox a tad bit better.
I use Foxfire and Mac too. I love em. I never thought Id say it but Im a Mac head and Im proud!
You make me want to venture past my little protected IE world!
I ♥ Firefox and their new toolbar rocks. Have a great day. Big hug. :)
Ah ... I discovered Firefox LONG ago and have never looked back. I'm always a bit irritated when a business requires me to use IE ...
Sorry you removed your Sitemeter icons. If you replace them will they access the old data?
Hugs and blessings,
Now a Mac I can vouch for :O)
Unfortunately I can't get the Entrebar to work for me. I am gutted. I would appear that there are quite a few people with the same problem so hopefully they can fix whatever it is.
I downloaded the very latest version of Firefox, but no joy, I'm afraid :O(
I'm NOT an IE fan, but I AM a fan of the new EntreBar! Once they figure out how to not have duplicates within a 24 hour period, I'll be in lurve!
Oh, and I do get sleep... I just tend to remember my dreams more than the majority of people.
Thanks for participating in Manic Mondays!
I'm an MS and PC guy myself. People keep telling me I should try Firefox, but I'm set in my ways and quite stubborn.
I started using Firefox a few years ago after being devoted to MSIExplorer for ages. I've liked Firefox ever since. Still use it more than the others.
I wish I knew more about this stuff...or had time to learn about it. Lord knows I'd have a better internet experience if my stuff moved quicker. Good thing you know your BIG stuff! :)
I use Firefox a lot at work and like it. If the entrecard bar is that good, I'm in. I'm killing my wrist dropping cards!! Warp speed sounds great!!
Thanks for the tip - Gandalf and Grayson sent me here :)

I downloaded the toolbar (and Firefox) and love it! I did 300 drops, found a ton of new sites (just what I need!) and did it so fast I was amazed! Thank you!!!

I switched over to Firefox a few years back and very rarely use IE anymore as there are just SO many features on Firefox that I adore (like the built-in spellcheck!).
It's really easy to become a creature of habit and stick to what we know but sometimes it's a good thing to branch out a bit and see what else the big world has to offer!
