Sister Weekends

Do any of you have Sisters? If you do, do you have a very close relationship?

I can't imagine my life without my 3 SisterDears. They know all the worst things about me and they love me anyway! I live about 1500 miles away from them, but through the miracle of technology, we remain very close! Cell phones, email and blogs, gotta love it! Truth be told, with life happening everyday, school, sports, work.... something always happens so they can't get together all that often. That is until I make my 'annual trek' up for our Sister Weekend! We all truly treasure our Sister Weekends.

I've been trying to decide when to go up this year. I usually go in July, but every 3-5 years I go up for Christmas. I wouldn't want to completely forget how much I dislike snow and the bitter cold now would I? I finally decided! I have decided that this year I will go up for the Fall Foliage!! The last time I saw New England Fall Foliage was October 1993, and it was past its peak. So, I have decided to go up at the end of September this year. Plans are being made. Excited? Who me? Only completely!

We're going to "do" Boston this year! Plans, we must make plans!! Faneuil Hall, The Paul Revere House, The Freedon Trail and Boston Common, the Old North Church, Bunker Hill Monument, the Museums... a Red Sox game!!! We'll also do some sitting around the fire in our Norman hats sipping wine, listening to the piano and singing along in our relaxing clothes. Bliss!

Stock up the wine! Which restaurants shall we eat at? Decisions, decisions!

Oh, what fun we shall have!

Today is a very special day!

It is SisterDear4's Birthday and her daughter/my niece's Leann's Birthday!

Happy Birthday, SD4! ~ Happy Birthday, Leann!

Get Your Own! More Flash Toys

It's also my beautiful gray boys' Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Gandalf & Grayson!

Gandalf is 4 and Grayson is 5! Stop by and wish them a Happy Birthday!

I do have 1 sister and 1 half-sister.
My half-sister and I were never close (different moms), and my sister has now moved to Australia - so I don't even know if I'll ever see her or my nephews again.
Have fun with your sisters!

Great way to handle TT! Great photos, too. Happy birthday G&G!

I have one sister but we are not at all close. Very odd situation. She has a wonderful ex-husband though and two delightful boys.

First, thanks for sparing us the verification. Second, I have no sisters, but I love hearing about the closeness with yours! Many good wishes for your precious time together. Enjoy every minute!

Didn't realize you were Gandalf & Grayson's mum :O)

I have four and a half sisters. Mo, who I share a home with, was adopted later in life. We usually have a reunion meal once or twice a year, together with my brothers and a tribe of in-laws! Two of the sisters live far away but the rest of us girls all live close by one another. What would we do without them?

I get along fine with my sister if we're not in the same room together. In our case we're in separate states. :D So it works out fine.

I have two sisters. I live in New York, my oldest sister lives in Washington State and my younger sister in South Carolina. We are very close and visit with each other often. I am so thankful for them.

Your sister gathering sounds like it is going to be so much fun. Make Memories and have a great time when it comes around.
Smiles,
Kimmie

I knew about the prompt this week but opted not to use it. I don’t follow rulez very well it seems. I’ve got ONE sister and we’re very close. I enjoyed reading about your relationship with your sisters. Mine won’t use email, but we talk on the cell almost every day even though she’s traveling the USA with her husband. They’re currently in Kentucky and I’m in Southern California. I hope you enjoy your trip!!! (and happy b-day to the fur-kids)
Hugs and blessings,

Leann and the baby sister; (me) thank everyone for all your wishes. I do not like getting older. But I have to say I like being the youngest sister. You see, all my sister are older than me!!!! It's wonderful to have them looking after me! They know I'd do the same.
Kisses and huge hugs to them all!
Love XOXOX~SD4

I have one sister and one half sister. The sister and I are very close. We only talk once a week or so, but share emails and my blog more often. (I haven't hooked her on blogging yet...I think she's too private to put her thoughts on line.) My half sister was born several years after I left home, and have lived a distance of at least several hours to a continent away from one another her entire life. So we really don't even know one another. Sometimes she thinks she knows me, but she's far off the mark. I at least realize that I do not know what makes her tick.

But the other sister...she makes up for it!!! Couldn't be better.

I have two older sisters - 9 and 12 years older. They don't live close by either but we email alot. They pretty much raised me as a young'un and to them I am still "the baby" - hah - a 51 year old baby!
